The San Diego State University Twirlers are a team of dedicated student-athletes that perform at SDSU football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer games, as well as, many other events throughout the San Diego area. The Twirlers are not only dedicated team members for the SDSU events, they compete as well. In fact, our Twirling Teams have previously won the 2014, 2015 and 2017 All-West Regional Collegiate Dance Twirl Team Championships! The SDSU Twirlers perform as a Dance-Twirl Team out on the field, and take part in SDSU traditions, while being proud and integral members of The Marching Aztecs. Currently we have 4 twirlers that are current and former competitors that have won national and regional titles. The Marching Aztecs are under the direction of Bryan Ransom, who is our fearless leader!

We are coached by Catherine Watters, former 2011 College Miss Majorette of America, and gold and silver medalist at the 2006 and 2012 World Baton Twirling Championships. Catherine choreographs and coaches the team for all events, including competitions throughout the year, while attending practices and most all events.
